Web Services Guide for IT Professionals,
Mr Andy Tan, Vice-Chairman XMLOne User Group Web Services are a set of technologies and
standards that will fundamentally change the way in which
Information Technology is used within the enterprise and
across organizational boundaries. Web Services deliver the
basic building blocks that allow the World Wide Web to take
the next evolutionary step forward to make Internet a de

The speaker will explain the enabling concepts and providing
a solid foundation to unleash potential Web Services
applications in businesses.
About the speaker:
Mr. Andy Tan is the founder of Intrinix
Networks. Intrinix Networks provides e-business application
development services. He has over 19 years of experience in
software development. Some of his successful projects
include Sanyo Industries and Sanyo Asia's Internet
Procurement system.
Andy Tan is a founding member of OASIS
Framework for Web Services Implementation (FWSI) Technical
Committee. He serves as the TC secretary. Andy Tan is a
member of the CWSP Certification Development Team (CDT) and
awarded the Certified Web Services Professional.
Andy Tan has presented several papers in
seminars on XML applications and Supply Chain Management
conducted by SIMTech, ITSC and PSB. He also writes for
ITSC's Synthesis Journal and Singapore Institute of
Management's Today's Manager Magazine. He is a member of
Singapore Institute of Management (SIM).
