XML speed up your business processes seminar 2008

 

12 March 2008, XMLOne and Microsoft jointly organized the above seminar. OpenXML was explained and live case studies were presented to show how OpenXML is applied in business applications.

OpenXML is used as the default file format for Microsoft Office 2007. Earlier versions of Microsoft Office used binary format as default format. File conversion utilities for earlier versions are provided by Microsoft and third parties to convert from binary format to the XML format and vice versa. When word processor saved them in XML format, it create a new opportunities to use this information and further processing is possible.


XMLOne Seminar held at IDA, Suntec City

The session started with the introduction of what is OpenXML by Mr. Chew Tat Leong and Mr. Chris Ismael from Microsoft. They explained OpenXML is a open standards of ECMA and in the process of becoming an ISO standard.

XMLOne User Group plans to organize follow-up events, example workshop and meeting to help members in applying this new technology in their businesses.
