XML Workshop - XML for Business Applications

This is an intensive one-day course aimed to help CXO, Entrepreneurs and IT Professionals to explore XML and Internet to enable their organization for e-Business.

An Internet Procurement System is used as a case study to demonstrate how XML and Internet are applied for business document exchange.

A sample application will be provided to help company jump start their e-Business document exchange.

Internet Procurement System Case Study

Consider this scenario, your customers can send you purchase orders and their content can be extracted into your order entry software without having to re-enter the data. In this workshop we will is a case example to show you how you can implement an Internet procurement system. We will use a case study to demonstrate the benefits on implementing an Internet Procurement System.

Expand the capability of Microsoft Excel to be an e-business tool

Our solution uses Microsoft Excel spreadsheets as the user interface where e-business document are created. These spreadsheets provide users interface to enable them to prepare and response to requests sent by their partners. Macro driven buttons are provided to enable user to view incoming XML document and response to these documents. Data from incoming documents are transfer to the new documents so that minimal data entry is required. The users can send these documents when they are ready.
