Mr Kong Fook-Wai has extensive experience in the area of Education/Training, Information Technology and Manufacturing Logistics. He is an established trainer and consultant who is result-oriented with relevant exposure in all levels of management and business.
Mr Kong Fook Wai graduated with a Master of Educational Studies degree (UK) and an Upper Second Class Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Computer Science with Business Studies (UK).
He has held various positions in Production, Logistics Information System, Education, Regional Managerial and Consultacy positions throughout his career. His expertise includes the successful implementation of the ERP systems together with Just-In-Time concept, systems co-ordination for improvement and systems integration / implementation between the Distribution Centre and factory, computerised warehousing system, e-learning systems, CRM and HRIS systems. His current interests include Electronic Commerce applications, Intelligent Logistics Information Systems and Software Engineering.
Mr Lee Kwok Cheong or KC as he is better known, is the President of Singapore Computer Society and the Chief Executive Officer of SIM Private Limited. His contribution in shaping the directions of the nation-wide IT development in Singapore since 1983 has led to his conferment of IT Person of the Year Award in 2000. Prior to joining SIM, he was the Group Chief Executive Officer of NCS Pte. Ltd. He served as the Chairman of NCS between Aug 2005 and Jul 2006 and is currently an Advisor to NCS. He was the Chairman of the National Infocomm Competency Centre, the President of the NCB Society and an Adjunct Associate Professor at NTU’s Nanyang Business School. He currently sits on the boards of NYP and the ITE. He also chairs the Advisory Committee at NYP’s School of IT. KC remains an active figure in the IT industry. He is a member of the National Internet Advisory Committee and iN2015 Steering Committee.
Dr Karippur Nanda Kumar currently works as Assistant Director of Manpower Development at Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore. Dr Kumar has over 20 years of extensive experience in the areas of Software development, Project management, IT training and Industry development. In IDA, he has previously worked in diverse roles such as IT Architect, Assistant Director(Strategic Programmes) and Executive Consultant (R&D Ecosystem). He is currently responsible for formulating and managing manpower development programmes and collaborations at a national level. Dr. Stéphane Bressan is senior lecturer in the Computer Science department of the School of Computing (SoC) of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and adjunct associate professor at Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST). He joined NUS in 1998 and MUST in 2004. He is the coordinator of the Electronic Commerce Laboratory at SoC.
From 1988 to 1994, he taught at various French higher learning institutions. In 1990, he joined the European Computer-industry Research Centre (ECRC) of Bull, ICL, and Siemens in Munich (Germany). From 1996 to 1998, he was research associate at the Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) working on the Intelligent Integration of Information.
Stéphane Bressan's research is in the area of the integration of heterogeneous and distributed information. His work has been published and presented in major international scientific conference and journals. He is a member of ITSC XML working group and an advisor to XMLone.
Ms. Tan Puay Siew has a wide array of experience in implementing IT solutions in many industry verticals, ranging from education to construction to manufacturing. Her past experiences has enabled her to gain critical knowledge in many technology areas, including the newer technologies like XML, web services and Web 2.0. Recently, she has been helping local enterprises to adopt and use web services as a strategic advantage for their businesses, in particular enabling inter-enterprise integration for B2Bi.
In her current capacity, she is responsible for the technical direction and development of web services related work in SIMTech. She also champions the work of web services at the international arena as the Chair of the Functional Elements Specification Sub-Committee (FESC) under the OASIS Framework for Web Services Implementation (FWSI) Technical Committee. Puay Siew is also a member of the XMLOne User Group Executive Committee.
Mr. Andrew G. Weekes has over 18 years experience in various aspects of Technology Architecture. Today he resides in Singapore where he leads the ASEAN/India Global Technology Consulting group at Accenture with himself focusing on how companies can become High Performance Businesses and IT Organisations through leveraging Services Oriented Architectures.
Mr. Björn Brauel is Software AG’s Crossvision technology evangelist. He has been with Software AG for 7 years and has extensive Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) knowledge in technical and business imperatives needed to ensure successful SOA implementation. Prior to Software AG, Björn worked for 13 years within the open source community.
An experienced presenter, Björn’s responsibilities also include presentation at industry events trade shows, customers’ and analysts’ briefings around the world as well as creating compelling demonstrations showcasing the Crossvision suite.
Björn has published a number of conference and journal papers and contributed to numerous projects.
Mr Stanley Eu is the Country Manager at Parasoft Singapore. Stanley has been in the IT industry for more than 10 years starting his career at GE Information Services (now known as GXS) and later joined Progress Software. He joined Parasoft Singapore as their first Country Manager in 2005.
Stanley leads the Singapore operations focusing on the development and implementation of business strategies that highlight the benefits of Automated Error Prevention (AEP). He has helped many MNCs to increase their development productivity and quality using various tools from Parasoft.
Mr Alex Ong is an IT consultant at Parasoft Singapore. He has many years of experience in software development and training. Alex is a certified Sun Java Trainer. Alex supports the Singapore operations with expertise on Parasoft’s tools and solutions enabling robust and reliable application development environment to the enterprises
Mr Mark Colan is Worldwide SOA Evangelist for IBM Corporation from Boston, USA. He is well-known for presenting technology in an easy-to-understand and entertaining fashion using a mix of pragmatic business ideas, leading-edge architectural concepts, and analogies to make them clear. Mark has presented at many major XML, Web Services, and SOA conferences all over the world in the past six years. With more than 25 years in software development, he is well-versed on component technologies and an expert on SOA.
